Lotions, creams, balms, and ointments

Lotions have a thinner consistency compared to creams and balms. They contain a high percentage of water and are lightly oily. They are often enriched with moisturizing ingredients such as glycerin or hyaluronic acid. Lotions are suitable for daily application on large skin areas as they absorb quickly and leave a light, refreshing feeling. They are ideal for individuals with normal to slightly dry skin.

I produce these lotions:

Aloe Vera - Lavender Lotion

Creams have a medium to thick consistency. They are thicker than lotions but not as solid as balms. They contain a balanced mixture of water and oils or fats. Additionally, they may include active ingredients such as vitamins, antioxidants, or soothing agents. Creams provide intensive moisturization and are particularly suitable for dry to very dry skin. They are well-suited for application on the face, hands, and other areas.

Muscle and Joint Cream

Balms have a very thick and solid consistency. They are the richest and heaviest forms of skincare products. Balms consist mainly of oils, fats, and waxes such as beeswax. They contain little to no water. Balms provide an intensive moisture barrier and are ideal for caring for extremely dry or cracked skin. They are often used for heavily stressed areas like lips, elbows, or heels.

Ointments have a solid consistency. They also consist of a blend of oils, fats, and waxes, but contain no water. They create a thick protective layer on the skin. Ointments are often used to care for dry, cracked, or irritated skin. They are also effective in supporting wound healing.

Lipsticks

My Lipsticks are made from natural ingredients. They contain plant oils, plant-based wax, shea butter, and natural active ingredients derived from plants that nourish and protect the lips.

Tinctures

Tinctures are extracts from plants made from a mixture of distilled water and alcohol. The different parts of the plant are soaked in the dark for several weeks to extract their active ingredients, making them easier to take and dose. Depending on the plant, tinctures can be taken orally, applied to the skin, or used in other formulations to harness their benefits for health, beauty, or flavor.

Gemmos

A Gemmo is an extract made primarily from the buds and shoots of plants, soaked in a mixture of distilled water, alcohol, and plant-based glycerin. These extracts are rich in plant hormones, enzymes, and nutrients, containing high concentrations of active ingredients. Gemmos are often diluted in various potencies and shaken, similar to homeopathy, to achieve a subtle, energetic effect.

Ayurvedic Powders

Ayurvedic powders are herbal blends based on the principles of Ayurveda, a 5,000-year-old Indian healing system. Ayurveda views health holistically, aiming to improve physical, mental, and emotional aspects of well-being. These powders are made from various herbs, roots, leaves, and other natural ingredients. According to Ayurveda, they are used to balance the three doshas: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. I prefer to use regional plants in my powders.

Oxymel

Oxymel is a traditional European remedy based on a mixture of vinegar and honey, used in naturopathy for centuries. Herbs and spices can be added to enhance the health benefits and vary the flavor. It is often used as a cough syrup.
